Via Computer
Connect the USB or serial cable with your computer, and point the infrared pointer to the LED badge to change text. If the device does not respond to updates, try pointing the IR transmitter cable right on top of the IR receiver on the lower right corner behind badge (marked by "PT")

Via Onboard Controls
Press the buttons on the back of the LED badge to perform text automatic scrolling, text switching, LED brightness, text scrolling speed, and on/off operation.
